For 36 years Mary E. Griffith has dedicated her life to the education industry. Holding various positions, Ms. Griffith taught library science for 28 years before turning to the administration side of the industry. As the media specialist and administrator for Bearden High School, Ms. Griffith was tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including writing grants and solving problems faced by teachers. Although retired, Ms. Griffith aspires to continue living by her motto “Always wanted to make a life and not just a living,” through staying active in her community.
